Set of from Llanfyllin in light rain using the first 3 lanes on my map. Taking a wrong turn we ended up at the start of a lane I hadn't intended on using but turned out to be a great alternative [its now lane 4] & headed into Dolanog. Over tanglwys [IT'S RAINING] & down to the main rd, turn right up to turbine way, divert around stinky pete's bog & stop to check every one has followed [oh dear Garry's shiny new husqavana is axle deep] there's always one. Along the A458 [its stoped raining] & turn right through the farmyard & ride along side the Afon Clywedog [river] .Man handle the bikes over the wooden bridge & head to the ford at Nant yr onog riding down the river to exit the other side. Pick up a lane heading to the A470 with a brief stop for some cows & then some signs telling us we were being filmed & were going to be stars ? Along the main rd heading for Dolgellau, turning right through a gate onto a lane taking us to Letty wyn, then road work to Dolgellau for a much needed dinner & drying out. After dinner we headed back to Malwyd on the road as someone didn't have the map to get to the next lane [and got us lost] oops. From here we headed behind the petrol station to do a couple of lanes ending back at the main rd, where Keith was accosted by the famers wife [welcome to my world] demanding to see our maps & telling us we were on a private rd. It turned out the lane carried on but hadn't been used for years as it was blocked by fallen trees, so we had a look [next trip will be with saws to clear the lane] & couldn't get through. Next was the ford at Glan rhyd, three more lanes & were back at the van. Altogether 4 new lanes done on the day, a really scenic route. Riders were Keith, Jon, Garry, Tony. Can't believe there were only 4 of us, you don't know what your missing. Hope to see you next time Tony.
