Should have known we were in for a rough day when the roads to Llanfyllin were flooded. Getting ready in the carpark the weather wasn't to bad. Set off in the rain to find the !st lane, a shallow stream ( now a raging torrent ) so went to the next. About halfway along this there was a tree down, got around this there was another, then another. Second lane was a single track downhill ending in a shallow stream (another raging torrent ) but with no turning around we rode it, apart from Pete who decided swimming was the better option. One drowned KTM later it was plug out upside down & pump the water out. By this time we wern't much drier than Pete. A couple more lanes then one along side a river, quite a sight (lucky for us we crossed this by bridge) then another tree down. We had been under cove for most of the time but the next 2 lanes were on open ground with side ways wind & rain. Hiding behind a house it was decided enough was enough and we headed back by road, as the next lanes would be too dangerous in this weather. Back to the carpark, changed into dry clothes & adjourned to the pub. A pint & an all day breakfast to finish a brilliant day out. Well done to the nutters who turned up, Pete, Jon, Keith, Lee, Howard. See you all next month to do this again. Tony.
