After all the rain last week I made a late change of venue. Corwen out Llanfllin. An eventfull day started 10 miles from home, an engine warning light [no water in van rad so toped up], 10 miles later the same thing {toped up]. Managed to get to Llanfyllin ok. An off for Keith on the first lane set the tone for the day. Managed to do about 4 lanes when Wayne had a puncture. Wheel off, tube out & the tube is split right by the valve [no chance of a repair] no spare tube so game over for Wayne, back to the van for him & back to the trails for us. A few more trails, turbine way [why pull your front brake on slick rock? so an off for me]. The hill [ an off for Jimmy going up & Garry coming down] then dinner & petrol in Malwyd. After dinner we retraced our steps to the bottom of the hill & turned left to ride a lane for the first time. This turned into a team builder, with the path fenced of Keith tried his trials riding skills riding down the river & up the bank on the other side [ with some help ] the rest of us opting to man handle the bikes up onto a wooden bridge & down the other side. Another new lane back to the main road & keith has lost a bolt on the battery thankfully the bike still worked. Head off down the main road & stop at the next lane where Keith, Jimmy & jimmy head back to the vans. Me & Garry clean our bikes in the fford & then two lanes later hit the mud hole from hell [£5 in the bloody power wash] & back to the van. 2 stops & 2.5 litres of water later I am home & another litre to top it up in the morning. 1st phone call tue morning to Renault to get it sorted. Thanks to Jimmy, Jimmy, Keith, Garry & Wayne for a great day out . Tony.
