Went to Wales on sunday [19th] with garry, jimmy, peter & steve. Set off from Llanfyllin & soon found out that it was going to be a challenging day. The first few lanes are really rutted & the recent rain had turned them into a sticky muddy mess which claimed more than a few victims. A few hours in while going over the top of Tanglwys Peter had a bad fall which ended his day. Badly winded and struggling to move his arm he set of back to the van with steve. A text that night confirmed no major damage [see you next time peter]. Headed off over turbine lane, enjoying the views and skidded to a stop inches from the newly filled stinky bog. A detour round the edge saw us clear and down to the road. The Next lane [probably the best of the day] loops round to Mallwyd, crossing an inconspicuous steam with a little dip just as you come out [eh jim]. Petrol & dinner in the café at Mallwyd. Set of back wondering if jims suspension would last after he ate a dinner that desperate dan would have bauked at. Round the back of the garage, back over turbine lane, over the ford at Glen y rhyd & back over the first two lanes with a few more close calls. A good day out that showed how easy it is to get hurt. The next ride here should add another river crossing & two more lanes to the return leg to make it a good route. Tony. .

Looks like Steve and myself missed out on the rest of a good run out! Yet another excellent run led by Wales specialist Tony. Nice video Tony (none of my off though?) Sorry to Steve for spoiling his day but he didn't want to find another sad situation in his van.
